International Die-casting Industry Chain Exchange Meeting to Discuss Global Industry Changes and Opportunities

On May 22, 2025, the "International Die-Casting Industry Chain Exchange Meeting," organized by China Foundry Association, took place at the Tianjin NCEC Marriott Hotel. The conference convened industry leaders from China, Mexico, Germany, South Korea, Japan to explore the challenges and transformation opportunities confronting the global die-casting industry.

At the outset of the conference, Luis Grajales, President of the Mexican World Die Casting Council, delivered a presentation via an online platform, highlighting the latest advancements in Mexican die-casting sector. He particularly emphasized that under the growing trend of nearshore outsourcing, Mexico has emerged as a prominent global investment destination. The industrial layout established by Chinese enterprises in Mexico has yielded preliminary results, providing crucial support for the supply chain system within the North American market.

Kathrin Kinne, the international sales representative of Foundry Planet, an international media based in Germany, provided an in-depth analysis of the transformation challenges faced by the European die casting industry. She noted that despite the German die casting sector encountering difficulties such as reduced output and increased costs, companies are actively exploring new growth opportunities through technological advancements, including large-scale integration. Kim Tyung, senior director of the Korea Die Casting Industry, presented insights into the development trends and challenges confronting the Korean die casting industry.

According to the conference findings, the global die casting industry is undergoing significant transformations. The conference has established a valuable platform for knowledge sharing among domestic and international die-casting industry chain enterprises. Participants expressed their intention to further enhance international collaboration and jointly address the challenges posed by industry shifts. China Foundry Association will continue to organize such high-level exchange events in the future to assist Chinese enterprises in strengthening their global competitiveness.
